Review: TP-Link Deco BE95
Published: November 12, 2025
Introduction
TP-Link has been aggressive in the mesh networking space, and the Deco BE95 is their flagship WiFi 7 offering. A quad-band system with two 6GHz bands, the BE95 promises to eliminate wireless backhaul bottlenecks and deliver multi-gig speeds to every corner of the home.
Key Features
The standout feature is its quad-band design, offering a dedicated 6GHz band that can be used for wireless backhaul. This, combined with support for Multi-Link Operation (MLO), allows clients to communicate over multiple bands simultaneously. Each node also includes two 10Gbps Ethernet ports, providing ultimate flexibility for wired backhaul if desired.
Performance Benchmarks
We tested a two-node system in a 3,000 sq ft environment. With a wireless backhaul, the satellite node delivered an impressive 2.8 Gbps to a client device. Switching to a wired 10Gbps backhaul pushed that number to 4.2 Gbps, nearly matching the main router. MLO performance was harder to quantify but resulted in noticeably lower latency and jitter during our gaming tests, with ping times remaining stable even under heavy network load.
Conclusion
The TP-Link Deco BE95 is one of the most powerful and flexible mesh systems we have ever tested. The performance is undeniable, though the price point places it firmly in the enthusiast category. For large homes with challenging layouts, the dedicated 6GHz backhaul is a game-changer.
